Area Organizations
We know that you stay busy in school volunteering your time to clubs, activities and teams. Don’t worry! As you start to think about your transition from school to work, know that there are hundreds of area organizations to get involved with in order to meet people, grow your professional skills, and give back to the community. There are career specific organizations such as the Eastern Iowa Human Resource Association or the National Association of Black Engineers;  a variety of affinity groups will help you meet a diverse group of individuals; and last, but not least, there are dozens of networking groups to help expand your personal and professional networks.
Diversity Focus is a non-profit organization that works to enhance the diversity of the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor. Their organization maintains a growing list of area organizations. To learn more, visit the link on the right or click here.
