About the Company

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

The Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted to cystic fibrosis. It funds and accredits more than 115 CF care centers, 95 adult care programs and 50 affiliate programs, and more than 75 chapters and branch offices nationwide.

Advancement and/or Leadership Opportunities

At this time there are no advancement opportunities in Cedar Rapids, but there are many openings throughout the company. There are many leadership opportunities for young indivudals including planning special events, coordinating auction itesms and sponsorships from local businesses, and creating marketing and media communications. If available, indiviuals should attend event in the fall (Not required).

Work Environment

Intern would from their home and meet with venues or company leaders in public places. Work schedule is flexible, individual should also be willing to help with events in the evening or weekends once in a while. Expectations include working with CFF staff, community, and helping coordinate upcoming CF events.
