About the Company

Community Health Charities Iowa represents 25 local health-related non-profit organizations. We specifically work with area business leaders to create cultures of employee engagement in the workplace. We do this through a program called Health Matters at Work. This initiative allows us to work with area business owners and HR professionals to development and refine their company's health and wellness programs; community volunteerism efforts; and to maintain workplace giving opportunities.

Work Environment

Community Health Charities Iowa has three locations across the state (I-380 Corridor, Des Moines Metro and the Quad Cities Area). We have one person working in each office so being a self-starter and staying motivated is a necessity. Task managment is important to meet deadlines. The environment at Community Health Charities Iowa is extremely flexible as we primarily work in the world of fundraising and marketing. Often times we are out of the office networking as we are always looking to establish and maintain relationships. A fun aspect of working for a non-profit is that the majority of our work is performed in the community. So we have many opportunities to interact and assist with local events (such as fundraiser walks, bikes, runs, golf outings, luncheons, etc.)
