University of Iowa

According to the University of Iowa, “U.S.News & World Report ranks 22 University of Iowa graduate programs and colleges among the 10 best in the country when compared to other public universities, with five UI programs continuing to rank in first place (http://www.grad.uiowa.edu/news/2010-04-16/us-news-ranks-22-ui-grad-programs-among-top-10-in-nation).”

Iowa State University

Five Iowa State graduate programs scored among the top 20 in U.S. News rankings. They are:
● Biological/Agricultural Engineering: sixth overall and fifth among public universities.
● Higher Education Administration: 13th overall and ninth among publics
● Analytical Chemistry: 14th overall and 14th among publics
● Statistics: 20th overall and 12th among publics
● Printmaking: 20th overall and 13th among publics

University of Northern Iowa

According to the University of Northern Iowa, “The University of Northern Iowa is ranked third in the “Best Regional Universities (Midwest)” category for public universities, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2011 “America’s Best Colleges” guidebook. The magazine’s ranking criteria include peer assessment, academic reputation, retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation-rate performance and alumni giving rate. UNI also was 15th on a combined list of all public and private Midwest regional universities — one of only three public institutions to make the list of top-20 Midwest regionals.  UNI was ranked 16th on the list last year (http://www.uni.edu/newsroom/stories/us-news-world-report-list).”

Mount Mercy University

According to Mount Mercy University, “Mount Mercy College has been named one of the Best Midwest Colleges in the 2011 edition of America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News Media Group. Mount Mercy is ranked 24th this year.
