You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the robust recreation opportunities available in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor.  Indoors or out, there is plenty to do in the Corridor!   The University of Iowa features Big 10 sports, with wrestling and football ranked near the top of the nation.   Weekends in Cedar Rapids are spent cheering on the Cedar Rapids Roughriders as they compete in USHL amateur hockey at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena or enjoying baseball games when the Cedar Rapids Kernels take on Class A opponents at Veterans Memorial Stadium.  Don’t want to just watch a game? The Corridor offers plenty of opportunities to get active ranging from trails and parks to indoor clubs and teams.

Not only is there a thriving sports scene, but the arts and culture scene stands out as well, outperforming many regions of our size.  Amenities like Theatre Cedar Rapids, Hancher Auditorium, art musuems, live music and hundreds of festivals make the Corridor full of art and culture opportunities.  While you are out and about, make sure to visit one of the hundreds of locally owned dining and shopping venues!
