Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend. About the Program: This special work opportunity will be offered exclusively through TFS’ Community Partners that support at-risk youth, including Boys and Girls Clubs, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and local organizations such as the Chandler Education Foundation. We will also recruit candidates through TFS’ “Making Life Easier” scholarship program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Received a scholarship based on financial need
- Enrolled in an accredited professional trade school, community college or university
- Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
- In good standing in the community and at school (i.e. not on disciplinary or academic probation)
- Junior-level status preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes)
- Self-motivated and a disciplined work ethic
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Overview
Provide advanced level technical support to customers. All troubleshooting is done remotely from our call center.
Primary Responsibilities
Answer all inbound technical support phone calls and answer all customer service related questions
Remove viruses and spyware, troubleshoot client issues
Provide set up and support for all SecurityCoverage products including: Online Backup, Password Genie, and SecureIT Plus
Provide troubleshooting services as they relate to: networking issues, home electronics, mobile phone and various PC devices
Work with customer to optimize security settings within the Operating System
Work with customer to transfer files, e-mail and Internet favorites from an existing computer
Provide customer training on Windows Vista, 7 and MAC OS X
Provide customer training on Microsoft Windows, Excel and PowerPoint
Track and record each phone call and provide a detailed description of the call
Educate customers on the Customization and use of the Operating System
Provide back up assistance for other technicians as needed
Special projects as assigned
Skills Required
Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
Two year degree or equivalent work experience
Strong computer background
Prior technical support experience a must

Promote a positive company image at all times. Meet productivity standards set by the department and perform at a level to acquire the maximum number of subscribers. Provide quality customer relations and meet all other performance standards. Turn in all sales including required documentation and monies collected in a timely manner. Keep accurate records, report sales activity and results accurately, and notify supervisor or designee of all problems/difficulties as they occur. Follow up on all leads, inquiries, complaints, and other messages in a timely manner. Keep appointments with customers. Attend meetings and training sessions as required. Quote prices, credit terms and prepare sales order forms for orders to be completed and billed. Work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends to reach prospects when they are at home. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Job Overview
