Job Overview
Individual will be responsible for the initial phase of the recruitment process. Write job descriptions, place ads, conduct phone screens and participate in face to face interviewing. Individual will help represent SecurityCoverage at job fairs and work closely with career service offices at local schools. The successful individual will represent SecurityCoverage with honesty and integrity and help maintain the culture of the Company. Position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists and coordinates with the recruitment process for non-exempt employees
- Places job postings on job search engines, reviews resumes and conducts telephone screens
- Schedules face to face interviews and conducts the initial interview session
- Works closely with hiring managers to review and understand hiring needs
- Conduct reference checks and background checks
- Write offer letters to new non-exempt level employees
- Send out turn down letters to prospective candidates
- Conducts new-hire orientations as needed and gathers orientation and first day materials
- Attends area job fairs as necessary
- Compile new hire files
- Maintains recruitment spreadsheet
Skills Required
- BA in Human Resources or related course of study or job related experience a must
- 1-2 years prior experience recruiting in a high volume and fast paced environment
- Experience with behavioral based interviewing a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must maintain a positive and respectful attitude
- Must work well in a team environment and independently when necessary
- Ability to work independently/self starter
- Must be committed to a high level of customer service and work quality
- Proven experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
